No one can predict a woman (even other women), this is why first date always an exciting event for every men. The unknown makes your heart bit faster in anticipation of something great. However, you want to win, not to lose. Where is this difference between victory and loss, between awkwardness and smoothness, between all these small things, which in sum lead to the second date or lead nowhere? Here are seven tips on dating, especially first date, which I am going to share with you.
Tip 1: Prepare your plan of the date thoroughly. Place, time, program: all elements of your first date must be well thought. Moreover, make sure that aside from plan A, you have also plan B: just in case if she would not like something in A or, perhaps, because the meeting place will happen to be closed that day (of course, avoiding things like that is precisely the reason why I am giving you this tip). Use what you already know about her: if she is your online match, then you know her profile and you had enough chat with her to figure this out. For example, if you know that she is not a baseball fan, do not try to convince her that she is missing a great deal of fun in her life, do not take her to a stadium, take her to museum instead. Yes, museum of art would be in many cases the best setting for a first date. Beautiful objects of art, quietness and safety at the same time: what else will give you a better atmosphere for a first romantic meeting? Dont forget: she has never seen you before, so personal safety will be an issue for her (probably not the major one, but, still an issue). From the first meeting point you can move to another (cafe, restaurant, night club), but remember that the choice of the first spot is the most important one.
Tip 2: Do not be late. Psychologists say that opinion about a person is usually formed over the first 15 seconds of a meeting: you may not get even that much, if you will get late. If these 15 seconds (or even few minutes) of her time will be filled with waiting, well, you just do not want this to happen. Women hate when someone makes them wait: in this state their mind offers them a million of things which they could do with better outcome than just mere standing and waiting. The rest is just a matter how long she can stand this condition, usually not too long before she will take-off and leave. Then you will arrive and will be waiting for nothing to happen: you have to blame for that yourself!
Tip 3: Your external appearance must be more than just spotless. I am sure you know that without me, but just let me to emphasize this fact, which is never enough to emphasize: you must look great! You better look like you just stepped from a front cover of a fashion magazine (or, at least, try to approach this state as much as you can). After spending at least two hours before mirror she wants to find signs of a similar commitment in you. So do not disappoint her: your attire, your shoes, your fragrance, even the teeth in your smile, everything will be considered over those 15 seconds, which you must win!
Tip 4: Flowers! Have you ever met women who did not like to get a gift? I have not. Women love gifts, especially diamonds. But the good news is: you do not have to bring diamonds on your first date (just save this thought in the back of your head for the future). Give her one red rose and you will give her a reason to feel that she just met a tasty and thoughtful man.
Tip 5: Be kind. Do not afraid of being perceived as an old-fashioned gent. Opening doors before her, pooling chairs for her, letting her in first, and so on will not hurt you at all, just opposite. Even diehard feminist would like to be treated that way. Help her to take off her coat: you can hug her slightly and this will be a step in a right direction.
Tip 6. Give her as many compliments as possible. This is something that is expected from you, and you do not want to disappoint her. After introduction tell her how great she looks. Do not afraid of being banal: in this part your effort will be always appreciated. Besides, giving compliments is fun and a great field for your creativity, so do not be shy to explore it!
Tip 7. Listen more, talk less. Surely she wants to know about you, but even more she wants you to know about her. So allow her to open herself, speak less, listen more. Help her with nodding and short ones, like: I see; Sure; Interesting, etc. If there will be your turn, do not talk much and by all means avoid saying anything about past wives and lovers, health issues, work problems and religion. Your task is to find a topic of mutual interest and help her to develop it. Show her good sense of humor and leave her to some degree intrigued about you, so there will be something to speak about at the next, and then the next, and then on the following dates, which must happen (or, at least, will be up to you) if you would follow all these tips.
Ever since we moved away from my home town, I have relied a lot on long distance to stay in touch with friends and family. In some respects, besides Internet, it is one of those things that I have just counted on in life.
But just this past week things changed when our phone company cut us off our long distance because of some old unpaid account that they found from five years ago with my wife’s name on it. We paid the overdue account, but the $250 deposit wasn’t something that I was interested in. We needed the long distance though, so we decided to look into options.
A couple of our friends told us of some Canada VOIP companies that would be able to provide us with the long distance calling that we needed and would replace our existing phone service.
We thought that we would do some research and find which of the VOIP providers would work the best for us. Thankfully, we found a lot of reviews to read online and we used them to help us with our decision.
It will be nice to have long distance again.
One of my oldest friends, Travis, has never really had much luck with women. He is one of the nicest guys that I know, but he often gets shot down because of his looks – he isn’t the most handsome guy on the planet.
Even though his looks aren’t the greatest, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t deserve to be with someone and be happy. He has tried dating nights and other types of match-making services, but with little luck.
So, we have turned to the Internet for the solution. We have been checking out some online personals to see if he can find the “one” – but so far he hasn’t seen anything that he would be interested in.
We finally found some dating services online that we are going to try for him – they will let him reach out to other women from the comfort of his home – this way he can get to know them before they go out on a date – which should make the process easier.
I just really hope he finds someone – he is too good of a person to live life alone….
In its native habitat a coniferous tree which will attain a height of too ft. or more, the Norfolk Island pine is, nevertheless, a plant that is superbly well equipped for cultivation as a house plant. Like the aralia mentioned previously it is a supremely elegant plant, producing tiers of well-spaced leaves of soft green colouring. It is capable of adjusting to a variety of temperatures but is really best suited to the cooler situation where the temperature ranges between 50 and 55F. Good light is also important; other than that it simply requires the standard treatment for easier indoor plants.
Growth that appears from the arils of those leaves should he allowed to develop two pairs of leaves of their own before they are severed from the parent plant. A clean cut straight across the stem should be made about half an inch below the lower leaf. Propagate in a pure peat mixture and pot on into a proper growing compost as soon as the plant has rooted through to the sides of the small pot in which it has been propagated.
However, compared to the average life of a hunch of flowers, even if the aphelandra plant should die off completely after six months this is reasonable value for money, and there is a great deal of pleasure to he had in trying to make the plant do was not very easy. It really is quite incredible the number of times that I have emphasised in a talk to a gardening club how difficult it is to grow such and such a subject in the greenhouse only to discover that little Brown in the front row has an embarrassment of them growing on almost every window-sill in his house!
Essential advice from the time of purchase: it is vitally important to ensure that the compost is kept moist all the time, as dryness at the roots results in limp and bedraggled leaves which have a marked tendency to detach themselves from the main stem very soon afterwards. The aphelandra is also a pretty avid feeder and will require fertilising from the word go indoors.
In display terms such a plant is one that can be relied on to fill a reasonable section of the exhibition area with very little bother; being pleasantly green in colour it will fit with little difficulty into most colour schemes. It is also particularly useful as a bold individual plant where space can be afforded to show it off to full advantage. The wide temperature variation will give some indication of its toughness, but efforts should be made to acclimatise the plant to a reasonably even temperature, as wild fluctuations between (45 and 65F.) can be damaging no matter how tough it may be. When grown indoors Aralia sieboldii responds very well to standard treatment for the easier type of plant which is moist compost, regular feeding and a light.
The principal attraction of Asparagus aleyeri is the compactness of the pale green foliage, which makes it an ideal plant for pot culture or for use in hanging baskets. Fronds achieve a maximum length of some 2 ft. and their neat, cylindrical shape is particularly attractive. Grow in light shade and keep warm and moist. Old clumps can be split up to make new plants in the early part of the year, or they may be raised from seed.
There is nothing worse than being haunted by your past, but as we all know, sometimes that happens. I received a phone call from our phone company this week letting me know that they found an old, unpaid account that was linked to my name from five years ago, and that I would have to settle up with them before I could use long distance again.
Not only was I frustrated, but what made it worse, was that the bill was from when I lived with a roommate that racked up the long distance bill after I moved out. The phone company wouldn’t do anything about it, so it will be something that I will need to deal with in the near future.
In the mean time, I still need some sort of long distance phone service as I live out in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, I was able to find a company that offered VOIP that was happy to have me, and I won’t feel as isolated out here anymore. Thank goodness.
No tree excites more affection in me than the graceful native birch. In winter sculptural in white beauty, in spring touched with the pale green charm of breaking bud, then in autumn all golden glory in the October sunshine.
In the autumn the leaves are absolutely delightful, first green rimmed scarlet which deepens until the whole leaf is bright silver and red.
In spite of this deficiency it is a superb shrub of compact habit. The yellow flowers in spring followed by the bright red berries, and deep scarlet of autumn colour make this species one of the choicest barberries. Where garden space is limited I would choose the variety atropurpurea. Used as a centrepiece in a blue and white ground planting, or as a contrast with deep orange annuals, it is charmingly effective.
Betula papyrifera is the Canoe Birch and it brings much the same effect to the garden as our own native birch. The varietal form from Alaska, kenaica, has a bark which glows a warm orange and this together with a rather upright habit makes it suitable for planting in a restricted space.
Betula pendula, silver birch, the graceful lady of the woods has aiven rise to several varietal forms, none more elegant than the type plant. Every day of the year my work takes me at least once amongst groves of indigenous birch and always, at all seasons, they are lovely. Some have thrown up four or five stems, as a result of being damaged in youth, instead of just one, and these are without doubt the most picturesque.
With B. darwinii as one parent and B. linearifblia the other, what else could the offspring, lologensis, be but superb. The habit is erect and the evergreen leaves well formed, while the flowers are yellomi, softened with a hint of peach.
Money management is an important part of life and unfortunately, it is not correctly taught to most children. Kids that don’t know the value of money turn into teens that don’t know the value of money and they never learn how to correctly manage their money, which puts them in a lot of trouble.
Those who don’t understand the value of money spend it with no convictions. They spend and spend on whatever they want without thinking about the costs to their wallet or their lives. Eventually this leads to credit cards.
Put together a shopaholic and credit cards and you end up with a doomed combination. Shopaholics charge everything and only make the minimum credit card monthly payments. Eventually interest begins to pile up and the debt grows exponentially. When they can’t even afford the minimum monthly payments, they end up filing for bankruptcy.
Whether you are in this position or a much less severe version, it will lead to a bad credit history. You probably hear all the time how awful it is to have bad credit. Unfortunately, no one is going to tell you otherwise. Bad credit is bad. Not paying money back on time when you promised you would is wrong, and rarely do wrong deeds go unpunished.
You probably won’t get put in jail, but you will be poorly affected in the future. If you have bad credit history, you will have a lot of trouble getting a loan. Even if it’s just poor, you might not be able to get a loan at all. No one is going to lend you money if you have a reputation for not paying people back.
Lending money to someone is a risk. The person who is lending the money can’t be sure that they will get the money back, this is why they look at credit. If you have no credit, you’re going to have trouble getting a large loan, especially a mortgage if you don’t have a cosigner.
A cosigner is someone who can really help you out. If you have no credit, you can find someone who has good credit. If they are willing to, they will cosign with you and you will be able to get the loan based on their credit. If you get the loan and you stop paying, the cosigner will have to pay or else their credit will be damaged. This is why it is not easy to find a cosigner, especially if you have bad credit.
Are you worried that you won’t be able to pay your bills? You need to pay off your debt as soon as possible. Take every action possible to make extra money and save every penny so that you can pay off all your debt and get your credit up.
One of the biggest challenges that I have seen someone deal with is living with Fibromyalgia Syndrome. You see, my father was diagnosed with it just a couple of years ago, and it has really had a profound effect on his life.
I think the biggest challenge that he has had to deal with is the changes that he has had to make to his life. Instead of being able to live his active life that he has been used to, he is now faced with the possibility that he will never be able to live as carefree as he used to.
Though he has tried a number of Fibromyalgia treatments but most of them haven’t been very effective. Changing his diet has helped somewhat, but he is looking forward to talking to some specialists about other things that he can do.
But I do admire his strength and courage when it comes to fighting his condition – I don’t think Fibromyalgia will conquer him.
Let me tell you upfront that I am not a morning person. In fact, I hate to get up early in the morning, but since I am a parent, I don’t have much choice. My son needs to get on the bus early in the morning, and sadly it is up to me to make sure that he makes it.
But I do have something that helps me to wake up in the morning - my cup of coffee. Without that magical liquid sitting in the best coffee pot on my best coffee maker. In fact, I tried to give it up once, and it was a big mistake - I just really couldn’t function at all.
If you are a parent like myself who has to get up too early in the morning, be sure to pick up one of the best coffee makers on the market as it makes a big difference if you want to have a really good cup of coffee…
I am happy to say that I am on the path to becoming an instructor at a local hair school and hopefully I will be able to teach the next group of students that will be starting in a few short weeks. This will be my first time as a teacher, and I hope that I am able to do a good job for them.
You see, I had always wanted to teach, but it wasn’t until I attended a beauty academy and people started to notice my work that it actually became a possibility. You see, I met a lot of wonderful women through my days of working at the local salon, and someone passed my name along when the local beauty school decided that they were hiring.
I went to the interview and they are supposed to let me know by the end of the week if I have the position or not. Either way, I now know that I want to teach and that I will do what it takes to make that dream come true.
