No matter how careful you are, you are always susceptible to tragedy. If you read the newspapers or watch the news on the television, many people each day have something bad happen to them.
I always thought that I was rather lucky and that nothing would happen to me. Well, I was wrong. You see, just a couple of weeks ago while picking up my son from daycare, my car was rear ended and I suffered some severe injuries.
Not only were the injuries bad, but I missed a bunch of work. This loss of income and medical bills wiped out my savings and we had to get another mortgage on the house. We were in serious financial trouble.
It wasn’t until we looked for a Boston car accident lawyer that we were able to have the opportunity to recover from the accident. According to the Boston car accident attorney, we did have a case and we could get financial compensation.
We will be going to court in the next couple of weeks and hopefully this will be resolved. I just hope that I will be able to fully recover from my injuries - my health is worth more than all the money in the world.
It seems that it has been a short time that Michelle has been in my brother’s life, but you can see how much she has done to make him a better person. He had been having some problems in life and she came along at the right moment and made his life that much better.
That is why it came as no surprise that they were getting married. When I heard the news I was very happy for them and happy that I would be able to call Michelle my sister.
I was honored when she asked to be her maid of honor. I knew that I had to pick out the perfect bridal shower favors for her and I would be there to help her make her choices when it came to deciding what type of wedding she would like to have.
We are going to look at wedding favors tomorrow and it is looking to be a busy day. With just a few weeks to go until the wedding, we need to get things organized quickly. I can’t wait!
When we bought our first house, we were truly excited. Not only were we moving on from living in our small apartment, but we were finally going to have a place that belonged to us. We wanted to make it our home, so we decided that we would come up with our own landscaping design ideas for our property.
We tried our hand at creating a perfect yard, but honestly, we failed badly. We didn’t know anything about lawn or lantana care, and as such, we ended up with no plants left after just one short month.
Upon hearing our stories, my parents rushed out an bought us some books on landscaping designs to help us learn what to do. It was a strange gift, but I know that they mean well.
We’ll have to wait until next year to try out the skills that we have learned from the book - maybe next year, our yard will be something to be proud of.
While a lot of older men collect such things as stamps or spoons, my father’s little bit different. From an early age, he decided that he was going to collect mens cufflinks and he now has quite a large collection.
It all started at the ripe age of 14 when he bought his first set of cufflinks at a garage sale. He tells the story that he paid just ten cents for his first set.
Now, thousands of dollars later, he has our old bedroom turned into an exhibit showing off his collection. If you were to take a look at his collection you would find everything including vintage cufflinks, custom cufflinks and even Santa cufflinks. He even has a set of photo cufflinks that we gave him with our photographs in them when I was five years old.
You might wonder if I decided to follow in his footsteps and have a cufflink collection of my own, but I don’t. With the number of cufflinks that I’ve seen in my lifetime I don’t really care if I ever own one.
When I was looking into deed polls, I did not even know where to start and as I called around to some different companies, it got no better. It did not seem like anyone understood what I was looking for and I kept getting more and more frustrated at the whole process.
One company that I called started spouting off the HR policies to me and I could not get through to them that I was not looking for a job, but I was looking for some information about changing the name of my business. It was like pulling teeth trying to get answers from anybody.
I found like I had hit the jackpot when I finally was able to get in contact with someone who offered to send me the business forms that I needed to proceed. I felt like sending the girl flowers. I hope that I never have to deal with something like this again.
I have been working for the same company for many years, and I am getting tired of it. Sure, the pay is okay and so are the benefits, but I want to have the opportunity to retire early - something that will not happen at my current job.
So, a number of years ago, I decided that I would try to start a business online. After a number of failed attempts, I was very discouraged, and gave up on it. It wasn’t until this year that my interest in making money online was rekindled.
You see, I learned of a free Internet marketing opportunity that showed you step-by-step how to succeed online. Obviously, that is exactly what I needed as what I had done up to this point just wasn’t working.
So, I am still watching the training videos, but what I have seen so far makes sense - maybe I will be able to retire early after all.
I lost my son in the Home Depot today. It was the scariest thing that I had ever gone through in my life. I was looking at the electric showers and he was standing right beside me. I had stopped to ask one of the clerks a question and when I turned around, he was gone.
I called for him and when he didn’t answer, I panicked. I was searching all of the shower cubicles, calling his name. The employees were looking for him as well and I was almost ready to call the police. I was not thinking clearly and I was being irrational.
I ran past the showers and that is when I saw him. He was sitting on a toilet doing his business. I was mortified. The toilet was a display and by the look on his face, I knew that it was not going to be a pleasant mess to clean up.
I was so relieved to see him and know that he was alright, but I do not think I will ever be able to show my face in the store again.
I have to admit, I get excited like a little kid when it comes to receiving mail. I don’t get much mind you, and bills just don’t count, but once in awhile, there is something great in my mailbox.
That is exactly what happened today when I went to check the mail. After digging through the bills, I found an invitation to a BetterTrades seminar that was going to occur in a little more than a month. I had been to one before, and I had learned some very important investing advice there.
I guess I will have to register early and book the time off of work so that I can attend the seminar as it will be held a short distance from where I live. I hope that my wife will be able to attend it with me as our financial future is in our hands, not just mine. But I just can’t wait until it is on - I always like to learn new ways to make money!
I have such a busy summer ahead of me, that I am already feeling quite overwhelmed. We are moving to a new city at the end of the month and I have so much packing and organizing to do. We have been living in our current house for several years and I am amazed at the mass of things we have accumulated in that time.
I am hoping to be completely unpacked and organized by the time school starts for my son. I know that it will be a big adjustment for him, having to be the new kid. I am just happy that he is outgoing and I know that he will not have a problem making new friends.
Once we get that underway, we have to travel back home to attend the wedding of my husband’s brother. I am sure that it will be good to see everyone again at this point, and I am sure that everything will come together in the end, but for now, I am just going to have my pity party while I pack.
We finally broke down and bought our son a video gaming system for Christmas this past year. He has been begging us for three years to get him one and we just now decided that he was old enough to own one. We told him, when he opened it, that it came with a large set of rules, but he was so excited that this did not seem to phase him one little bit.
Imagine his dismay when we hooked it all up and it did not work. Being it was Christmas Day and nothing was open, we decided to try and call the toll free service for the company and see if there was something that we were not doing properly.
After calling about four different toll free numbers, we deduced that it was actually a problem with the system and that we were going to have to send it in to the company for a replacement. What was supposed to be the happiest Christmas of my son’s life turned out to be the most disappointing.
