Three Interesting Blogs

Posted By Misty Mountain on July 16, 2007 @ 2:38 am

Out of the million blogs on the internet, I vowed to find a few interesting ones today.  Here are the the three good ones I found today:

Creative wits is a blog about just about anything.  You can find articles related to technology, cars, insurance and more.  There are definitely some good articles if you want to learn about a variety of things.

Laptops blog is dedicated to those of us that have(I consider it a blessing) a laptop.  You can find different things to try with your laptop, as well as tips on purchasing a laptop.  Informative and in English, the articles on the site are designed to educate you in five minutes or less.  I have definitely put some of the tips to use for my laptop.

URL Shouter is a website announcement blog.  Want to find some of the best websites launched in the last few days?  Find them all at this website.  It is a general, family oriented blog, so you can find many sites that would appeal to your interests, whatever they may be.  I did get some good ideas on things to write about from this blog.

How SEO and WordPress Templates can Increase Your Online Earnings

Posted By Misty Mountain on June 30, 2007 @ 2:16 am

My goal for all of my websites is simple: make some money. In order to make money with a website, your site needs some quality, targeted traffic. A search engine is a good provider of the money-making traffic ? but there are many other webmasters out there with the same goal as me ? ranking well in the search results on the search engines.

What sets one webmaster apart from another in terms of search engine ranking is their skills at SEO optimization.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the art of tweaking your webpages so that your site will be ranked higher in the search results on the search engines. Notice that I called it an art ? there are skills and techniques that you combine together (think of combining paint on a canvas ? you have painting) in order to get your website ranked well in those search results.

In an effort to improve my SEO skills, I came across a great SEO tutorials resource that improved my skillset in terms of search engine optimization. The blog where I found it, DNSeo, teaches you those important skills in getting your site noticed. The tutorials cover a broad range of topics and skill levels, and are written in plain English.

Poking around the site, I was surprised to find Free WordPress themes. What do these have to do with the site? Well, most of the themes were designed with the expectation of showing Adsense ads on the site ? if someone clicks on the ad, you make money. They look very professional done and reduce the time it takes you to lauch a new blog - which gives you time to make even more sites (and more money).

A big thank you to the webmaster of DNSeo.net ? most people are not willing to share their secrets or the tools that they use to succeed online ? but they did.

Have you heard the juicy lie?

Have you heard the juicy lie?

Maybe the right way to put it would be have you read the juicy lie?

Now, you are probably thinking of gossip, possibly celebrity related, are you getting excited?  Another tabloid worthy column perhaps?

Think again.  A juicy lie is golf slang for a lie in the rought where the ball is sitting atop the grass, offering a clean approach.  Not what you thought, hey?

More importantly juicy-lie is a new blog that writes about extraordinary websites, topics, and news.  Made for the average joe (and jane), you will find content and news presented here nowhere else online.  Why?  They pride themselves on being original - a rarity in this age of cookie cutter blogs.  Grab your coffee and site for a read.  After you are done, tell your friends - everyone needs to know a juicy lie….
