Education has been drastically changed because of the internet along with other devices. According to a recent survey, 1 in 4 college students were taking at least 1 online class. The economy and environment are better off when people take online classes. Books, gas, and high tuition costs are just a few of the things you can avoid while you take your classes online. At a conference a year ago Bill Gates stated that in the next several years universities will practically be worthless considering that the best lectures and presentations all will be available on the internet.

Bill Gates has even helped sponsor Khan Academy which offers “a free world-class education for anyone anywhere.” Khan Academy has over 2,100 videos that range from topics like simple algerbra to amortization. Where there is a will to learn, there is a way; Khan Academy is exactly that. Now the two most significant ways to help someone get an education are access to the internet and the time to be able to dedicate for watching videos and doing work. The internet is an excellent thing, in that in can really help change people’s lives for the better and even though there are many bad parts, it can be an enormous positive impact on society. There is also financial aid programs available for individuals and minorities. By way of example, they have easy scholarships no essay that will help them pay for their educational requirements.

Poor people in today’s world are much more capable of lifting themselves out of poverty and becoming successful professionals. Before, you were required to travel long distances to have access to the world’s best books and professors but now they come to you. All this explains the explanation for the recent push to give 3rd world countries computers and access to the internet. The time is fast approaching when anyone can get a quality education for just a few bucks. Way back in history, only the wealthiest and most powerful families could actually educate their kids and enable them to graduate at a university. A good deal has changed since that time.

In addition to the internet, tablets are also dramatically changing the way in which we learn. People will no longer need to lug around heavy backpacks, instead they are able to take a device the size of a notebook that has considerably more to offer than an ordinary textbook. Now it is possible to form and submit entire essays wirelessly, without having to concern yourself with running out of ink or getting hand cramps. Education has changed more within the last couple years than it did throughout the whole last century. Sadly, people are not using the new improvements in education. Everyone who has access to the internet can use these tools but not enough people understand them.

Education has a bright future, just as people that will be able to take advantage of the changes that are going on. Education is changing for the better and giving everyone equal possibilities to learn and grow. Sad to say people aren’t making use of the opportunities they have access to. Online classes are taking over, not just because of the flexibility they give students also for their environmental and economic influences.
