As you more than likely already know, while there certainly are many safe skin care solutions on the market, there are even more which do no good at all. Shockingly enough, there are also many that, apart from not helping, actually have the potential for causing permanent damage. The good news is though, some cleansing skin care procedures do in fact help to slow down the natural aging process of your skin, so if youd like to find out more, please carry on reading.

Apart from the fact that most municipal water is full of undesirable pollutants, toxins and impurities, many of the soaps and shampoos currently available also contain potentially harmful chemicals.

In all reality, it would be unrealistic to suggest that you avoid all known pollutants and toxins. In fact, without a special filtration system, it would be near impossible, but many can however be removed from your water supply by means of a shower head filter.

Furthermore, and contrary to what you may believe, cleansing skin care products which are marketed as being anti-bacterial should also be avoided due to them containing Triclosan, which is in most cases, the active ingredient. This ingredient does you no good at all and in fact, its also damaging to the environment. The bottom line is, a natural antibiotic such as Manuka Honey is far safer.

Likewise, those who are serious with regards to cleansing skin care should remove all products from the home which contain petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or parabens. Instead, rather opt for natural products such as orange oil, tee tree oil or manuka honey

You should also stay away from those exfoliating cleansers, especially micro-beads. These cause irritation and inflammation and actually contribute to wrinkles and sagging skin.

Of course, those suffering from excessively oily skin are also advised to include the use of masks into their regular cleansing skin care routine, even if only once each week. Here again, masks containing natural products such as manuka honey, shea butter, keratin and natural clay are best.

Lastly but not least; only use cleansing masks that contain either macadamia oil or shea butter. Masks that dont have at least one of these ingredients could result in clogged pores due to them being incredibly difficult to remove.
