Sometimes I really feel that we made a mistake by moving into the apartment complex that we did.  You see, it seemed like a great deal when we first moved in, but we learned the truth about our choice later on.

It turned out that most of the residents of our building were in college and partied a lot.  In fact, it wasn’t uncommon to have over half the building awake in the middle of the night.  Now, you wouldn’t think that this was bad, but there was a big problem.

It was always noisy.

Yes, the noise level was so bad that you really couldn’t think well, let alone sleep.  So, we were forced to buy a white noise machine to muffle the noises so that we could have a normal life.  Though this wasn’t that bad, there were times that even having the machine on wouldn’t make it quiet enough to sleep.

So, the next time that we find a new place to live, I think that we are going to make some effort to research what we are looking at before we say yes – we have certainly learned our lesson.
