I came across an article a few days ago that, at first glance, I thought was either a parody of role-playing game stories or part of an actual RPG. The author was talking about magick talismans and magick amulets & charms as though they were real and she had actually used them herself. I was thinking, “No one would seriously believe any of this stuff.”

But when I got to the end of the article, there was a link to her “magickal” website. And it became very clear when I visited her arcane web page, complete with eerie sound effects and spine tingling music, that not only did she take this seriously, but she had an entire following who believed in, bought and used talismans and the like. They also practiced magick spells & rituals. I guess it just goes to prove Solomon was right. There is nothing new under the sun.
