We have taken an interest lately in used mobile homes. We currently live in a town house and, though a mobile home would be no bigger than what we have, it would be much cheaper, as well as being ours. It would be nice to paint my little girl’s princess room pink or put up a cheerful border in my kitchen. These are just not options when you rent.

We are currently looking into obtaining a manufactured home loan. We thought we would see how much we could be approved for, so we know what we would be looking for. We were told that it shouldn’t be too big of a hassle to get the approval and now we are just waiting to see.

We also discussed with the lady at the bank, the possibility to remove PMI from our mortgage. She didn’t think that would be too much of a problem, considering that we both had a pretty good credit rating. We are already packing, as we know this is going to happen. Right now the only question is when.
